![]() ![]() He fell in love with BBQ and spent years cooking and practicing the art and science of it in his backyard, eventually starting a competition BBQ team in the Atlanta area. Well, many years ago Brenden acquired a ceramic smoker which he swears by, called a Big Green Egg (Ask him about it and he will probably have you buying one before you leave the restaurant). I bet at this point, as long as you have not fallen asleep, you are wondering how the barbecue came to be. Several years later, we did just that… Sauced BBQ Spirits was born in downtown Livermore, CA on April 22, 2012! In our early 30’s (still 2,500 miles apart), it was time to stop dreaming and turn our passion into reality. I grew up in Pleasanton, CA while Brenden was raised in Atlanta, GA… yes this means he has been to countless NASCAR races and has probably owned a pair of Wranglers at some point. We were both born in 1979, and although we grew up on opposite sides of the country, we always stayed close. Quite frankly, Brenden loved to cook and I loved to eat…some things never change. My cousin Brenden and I (Barrett) have been dreaming of owning a restaurant since our early college years. We want every one of our guests to become a part of our extended family and walk out of our doors with a memorable experience and a full stomach. Our goal at Sauced is to always provide excellent food, creative cocktails, and an unmatched southern charm and ambiance. Chef’s kiss.We are so excited to have the opportunity to bring authentic BBQ to Northern California. I’ve also got my eye on the pulled pork sandwich. There were a few loaded fry plates I’ll need to come back for after a hockey game too. We will definitely be back as there seems to be a plethora of meat options to try. Both meat plates were delicious and perfectly cooked. The meat lived up to everything our server described it as. The cornbread comes with a side of some type of butter that I could eat alone - definitely order a side of that. They also have other types of mac to choose from if you prefer one with more kick. I am a mac and cheese connoisseur and can say without a doubt you need to order their mac. Sides we ordered were the mac and cheese, baked beans, cornbread and the sweet potato casserole. ![]() I ordered the burnt ends sandwich (YUM) and my boyfriend ordered the beef rib. There 2 different walk up bars which I know will be popular. ![]() I’d presume that once the pandemic subsides, there will be long waits to get into this place. First impression: the location is PRIME for ducks games and angels games. I decided to try this place after having a mad craving for all things BBQ and mac n cheese. They also offer Axe Throwing near the bar area, but we did not try that activity. I thought their menu pricing was a bit too high, considering all of the options in the area. The only issue I had was the cost of the meal. I tried all of them with different bites and they were all good. They have different bbq sauce options for you to choose at your table. My brisket sandwich was very tasty with a decent amount of meat and the bun was soft. Our food did not take very long to prepare. I ordered the waffle cut fries for my side. I ordered the Sliced Brisket Sandwich, which is served southern style, with no frills, on a soft potato bun and a choice of one side. When she returned with our drinks, we ordered our meals. Shortly after we arrived our server greeted us and offered drinks. One of my coworkers went to the greeter’s desk and obtained actual menus to read. I always find this difficult, as the menus are hard to read on my iPhone. Due to Covid, they want you to scan a barcode to pull up the menu. Upon arrival the place was fairly busy, but we were quickly seated. ![]() We decided to give Sauced BBQ and Spirits in Orange a try. We have tried several BBQ places in the area and wanted something new. While visiting Anaheim on business, my coworkers and I wanted to get some barbecue for dinner on a weeknight. ![]()
